1.5 -1 1/8 headset reducer

Greeting Hubbers,

 

I have a straight non tapered fox fork that i would like to fit into fame with a tapered head tube.

 

My assumption is that I will need a 1.5 -1 1/8 headset reducer to achieve this. Is this correct?

 

If so should I order one online or is this something that you can get in any bike shop?

They should be available locally. They come with the Giant tapered headset so someone may have one lying about if they didnt need it.

For about 120 ZAR you can buy a special 1/5th to 1/8th headset reducer crown from most big (ish) bike shops. Neat and tidy and you wont need to wait.

I have used the Cane Creek one before - got it from the lbs. Worked well.
