Remember do not pull the skewer away from the frame. that just let's it spin effectively allowing you to move the handle to a better position.

Yep design flaw really skewer screws loose from axle, bike shop managed to release my wheel then temp fix with locktite and now waiting for new skewer

The new Specialized Roval Controls and skewers need an alan key to unscrew them. This is on the non-drive chain side as they have no lever on the skewers. Hope this is what yours needs

nah mine is the 2012 model where the axle and skewer is one unit, or at least supposed to, DT swiss is dof as far as i am concerned because the skewer attaches to the axle via skrew on but supposed to be tight enough that the skewer and axle comes out as one, but the thread bwteen the skewer and axcle runs same direction so sometimes the skewer comes loose instead of the whole unit. i am not an engineer but i would have done the threat the other way around. anyway, hope the new one works fine, would hat to get stuck out in the sticks wuth this issue

that has to be the dumbest design i have ever heard of, i agree with you the threads should be counter threaded so you can remove etc without destroying the whole unit. i suggest some red lock tight and prey you never ever have to remove the inner thread
