Give these guys a shout iRideAfrica.com..iRide is a hubber and all round good oke...

I have a gpx file pulled from Endomondo with Canaries DH...can't upload here..PM if you want...

I rode with a few locals last week, they have other names for the trails, such as Neverending Story for the blue lined singletrack that starts at No 12 on iRide's map. Nevertheless, the map will help. The beauty of Jonkershoek is that it caters for all levels. The rank beginner can do the gravel road loop, then the next level is the contour roads with mildish inclines, then there are more serious uphills on non technical trails, then single track with the odd difficult or technical section and then there are a few trails that I am not brave enough to attempt.

That sounds like a good day out Taahirwp...but you missed the new Black Diamond Enduro trail...which is a not insignificant six levels of descending.

i've only heard about the Black diamond trail, wouldv done both the Canaries and Diamond trail if i was alone and did not have to consider anyone else during climbs. Also never did canaries so wanted to give that a go, and was not sure if there was a quicker way to get to the top again to do diamond... from what i understood, i had to choose either Canaries or Diamond.

How hard is the diamond trail compared to the upper 2 canaries, i found the canaries quite technical for my first time but def. my flavour....

We must make a plan for a ride together there ASAP!

Is that an open invitation Nico Boshoff???

Place will be crawling with members and I'm sure the odd "Whoop!!" will be heard echoing through the valley...

Which trail is featured first in your video? nice Vid just by the way...

That's pretty much the new trail from top to bottom.

At the bottom of the top 2 canaries (the one with the rock roll) you ride about 1km (rough guess) back towards Stellenbosch. You'll re enter the pine forest and about 30m after you enter the pine forest you'll see a *** steep road going up to the right. That takes you to the top of Bennets new trail. You ride up that road. you'll see the trail crossing the road a few times. You'll get to the cement on the *** steep road. at the intersection there you'll see the top section of the trail crossing the road there on your left.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. That trail would not be out of place in Chatel. Praise doesn't come any higher from me.

8 am. Look for a short fat guy with an Intense Tracer and a big mouth. We are going to do that flowy guy in the pines on the firehut side first then ride up canary in the trees. Then work our way to the black trail.

We might hit the top 2 canaries first before doing the black trail.

Sounds like some awesome riding to be done in the AM. I think that short fat guy with an intense tracer and big mouth should not be under-estimated on the trails.

Would be nice to ride with a guys who knows there way around the place...

We've got Nic who know the place like the back of his hand. Nico is also coming. After the rain it's gonna be like Jefrey's bay in a light Westerly. Yeeeeeee.
