Surely the best service one can receive from a bike shop. Well done to Deon and his team. This must be something that other shops should note because it could make customers go there if they are not too far from Durbanville.

Cannot believe that guy called someone on Christmas Day....hillarious. Great stories!

According to "thehubsa-standards" if you do not pick-up on Christmas Day you get flamed here for bad service. :nuke:

Kudo's to Deon!!!

Like I said, took a chance. Was my first day with a "proper bike" as was hell bent on riding it. Subsequent to that, my old man has probably bought 4 or 5 bikes from him, so it worked out.

Deon is obviously 1 of the few bike shop owners who actually see the problem and sadness through a cyclists eyes and not through just the business mans eyes.. I HATE when i cannot cycle and especially if there are no open LBS around or the ones who are more interested in the business side of it than the cyclists side..

Clearly Deon puts himself in the cyclists shoes and realises how much it sucks not to be able to ride as im sure he was or maybe still is a very enthusiaistic cylist...

Deon if you are a hubber, i have never met you, but i will visit your shop within the next 2 weeks and YOU will receive the next bit of business i do with a bike shop!!

I live in Robertson but it is still worth driving there (I think I should move closer :w00t: )

I can confirm the excellent service they provide, not just to myself, but to other people as well. My bike is in for service today after I called to confirm my appointment I made a week ago, to find out that it wasn't registered in the workshop. I spoke to Wesley the day before my service and he happily put my name down in order for my bike to get serviced the next day.

When I purchased my Specialized Crave 29er a year ago, it wasn't my original choice of mountain bike, but I test drove one of the cheaper models which was the rockhopper. I guess at the time when I ordered it, there was no more available in the Western Cape. Even though the Rockhopper wasn't tubeless etc, I'm glad I didn't get the bike in the end. After 4 days ordering the bike (The Rockhopper) Justin recommend that I should go for the Crave and gave me a slight discounted price just to get me going and apologized for not getting the Rockhopper for me. To me that was a good decision on his behalf to have an eternal happy customer. Their service is friendly and they dont have an "attitude" like when you walk into Chris Willemse cycles. The vibe is always friendly.

In the end, the Crave was the best suitable bike for me and love every bit of it and enjoying trails every weekend riding it.
