flat29 Posted January 17, 2014 Share IMHO no. You can fit a straight fork into a taper headset with the correct bearing
Flowta Posted January 17, 2014 Share hi all so i have a question regarding headset on a mtb my fork is a tapered steerer (fox 26") is it possible to fit a tapered streerer into a straight headset? using a special headset or something? possible? Depends, is your headtube 34mm (ie thin with external headset) or 44mm (ie thicker with internal cups)? If the former then no, the latter yes Hairy

Chro Mo Posted January 17, 2014 Share I'm glad I did not comment and jump the gun before. I was way off the mark except for the geometry aspect. I have learned something new (and useful) today. Thanks people.
