If anyone took pics - please post them.

If there ever was a time I wish I had a GoPro stuck on my handlebar, it would be for this event yesterday. ..I still reflect back on the valley view in the first loop! wow...

Hi Rikus

Its my helmet. There is probably a first time for everything. .. I realised I lost it when the sun started to hurt my bles. It could only have been left behind when I helped a guy that crashed in front of me. Can you please pm me your number or I will pm mine.

Didnt realised I look that old :)

Awesome single track! Unfortunately my one pedal broke off at the 20km mark,  I struggled on for a further 27km before finally throwing in the towel, was getting mentally and physically fatigued and started to fall and loose my balance far to often. Next year I'll be back with new pedals and hopefully a bit fitter.

Well done to everyone that managed to finish the race, it was proper hard!

Done the 37 of which more that 80% was technical single track. A serious wakeup call thinking a 37km ride will be a breeze. But a great race and a must do on the MTB calendar.

Had the priveledge of riding a section of the race route (roughly 25km's) on the sunday after the event with the route builders/race organisers. A crash course in bike handling skills if there ever was one. The routes are incredible, words can't describe the terrain, scenery, technical ability required etc, it really is a special place.

The guys who finished the 63km would I'm sure be able to finish a tough Epic stage.

If you want the opportunity to ride some of the most awesome, challenging singltrack and test your stamina and bike handling ability, then don't miss next years event cause that's the only time one gets to ride these trails.

Fantastic race! I usually do all-mountain type riding and just do the odd xc race for fun to get out of town. This race was a very refreshing change from the usual jeeptrack with bits of single track. What a treat - nice technical single track for most of the route, and exceptional views and weather too. I will definitely be back again next year!! Has anyone managed to find the results?
