Already "legal" at 94.7. Ride 1st lap, remove chip and off you go. Provided you're back before last batch leaves.

there we go now we talking *thumbs up to the 94.7* learn people learn. You okes who don't have a problem with it obviously have way too much money to know what to do with it, so next year please pay for my 2nd lap. Thanks in advance.

Second lap did not have a ppa discount. I payed it, but I also feel a discount would have been nice.

My absolute favorite phrase in the South African cycling lexicon. (just ahead of 'hold your line')

We ride 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 100-plus-thousand rand bikes, and then bitch about being charged very little, in the grand scheme of things, for something quite special. Nobody is forcing you to ride a second lap, it is a privilege. And it costs the organizers money to have you ride a second lap, no matter how much you try to convince yourself it doesn't. Extra staff/man-hours to handle more complicated entries, extra staff at the gate to OE (in my experience) to collect two-lappers' cards and apply fetching pink stickers, extra man-hours to manually strip out our results and remove the second lap so we get an accurate first one - lord knows how ape we would have gone if they got that wrong!

Don't wanna pay? Then don't play.

Simplest thing ever.

thats bull, guys have been doing 2laps since Noah stepped off the ark, it cost nothing extra to the organiser then as people were in & out, without being noticed.

I didn't want to pay, so I didn't play :-)

Perhaps only allow second lappers if they are willing to buy a charity entry for the second lap. Those were in excess of R1000 each. That way they can make a small donation to another (apart from Rotary of course) worthy cause.
