HAKAHANA TRAILS Posted February 10, 2015 Author Posted February 10, 2015 HAKAHANA 2015 ENDURO SERIES The First Race (CUP #1) will be on Sunday 8th March with practice day on Sat 7th.We wil create a Hub Event shortly. We are also busy updating our website to enable entires and payments directly online. So please be patient. Entries will open in the next week or so. The other Series dates are: CUP #2 - Sunday 14th JuneCUP #3 - Sunday 6th SeptemberCHAMPS - Sunday 29th November All Saturdays preceding Races will be practice days and accommodation/camping will be available. We will add some surprises and new stuff for each Event.Trails all looking lekka after a massive clean-up for Dual X.

I haven't made any actual plans with the others, just going out on the hill and will ride with who ever wants to ride.

Sounds good, So far I've ridden 1 and 2 once each so just looking to get to know the trails better not race them

Samurai Pizza Cat Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 R250 a bit steep for an Enduro race? It's all about the numbers. 60 riders vs 2000 - 6000 riders at a xc race. You have to make it worthwhile for the organizers. With 60 competitors you also miss out on the "big" sponsors. And finally: logistics like timing and trail building is much more expensive than sending a crowd out on a dirt road & 400m of single track. It's a niche sport, so deal with it.

Btw website registration still giving us some headaches. Will revert to a hub event with manual registration if we don't come right by next week. But the the event is ON!!! No matter what.
