Hi guys, i am planning on ordering a handlebar from CRC, the delivery is 6 pounds.. Will I get charged on import duties ? And how long is normal delivery ? Thanks

Well it is 6 quid for delivery.

When it gets to SA you will pay 14% VAT on your purchase price, so for eg GBP50 x R18.50 = R925 then add your VAT = R925 + 14% = R1054.50 PLUS a handling charge.

handling charge will be about R35 at SAPO and about R105 via a courier.

If you choose the Royal Mail delivery then it'll probably take about 3 - 6 weeks to arrive (as long as it has a tracking number)

My last shipment, which has arrived last week, took about a week and a half...... With DHL I was previosly able to get my goods in 4 days but that was a record!

Have it sent via the post office. Then you miss the import duties and taxes.

This is not true.

No matter who you use, there are no import duties. No matter who you use, you need to pay VAT
