Hi Guys,

It is with some regret that we wanted to let you know that Sportsworld.co.za is changing. After much deliberation Arlene and I have decided that the time is right for us to return home to Ireland for our family.

We have met many fantastic people through TheHubSA, and have enjoyed all the interactions we have had. For a number of weeks now, we have had to put off buying additional stock as we were working with a timeline with regards to the sale of our property. We know this has impacted our stock levels to a certain degree and we apologise for any inconvenience caused.

We are however, really delighted to announce that Sportsworld.co.za will be carrying on as usual under new ownership from the beginning of April. The new owners are extremely well- known local Western Cape cyclist Dennis Lamminga who brings his vast knowledge and experience to the business. He will be joined by his wife Ena. They will be operating from the Durbanville area which will also please a lot of you J.

Dennis has already been busy buying exciting new stock and will also be offering more MTB components and tyres. Feel free to drop him some suggestions here.

In the interim however, Arlene and I would like to celebrate not only St. Patrick’s Day but also the fact that Ireland have just won the 6 Nations Championship, by discounting a lot of our items by 50% on our website www.sportsworld.co.za.

And yes, in BOD we trust

Thanks once again.

Stephen

Stephen it has always been a pleasure dealing with you, I'm sure if you use that same work ethic anything you tackle will be a success.

Best of luck with the move to you and your family, pop in on theHub every now and then.

P.S: Timing on the specials is a bit off for my budget, otherwise I would've been on it straight away.

A big thank you to Steve and Arlene who's been training us the whole of March! They showed us everything that makes sportsworld the brand it is, particularly:

  • Getting quality affordable gear to you hubbers
  • Streamlining the website and making it more cycle specific

We are spoilt being in Durbanville, especially with:

My wife and I are looking forward to sharing our passion of cycling with you!

Yours in Cycling,Dennis & Ena

Thanks Luc! Still investigating Indoor Trainers for our approaching winter..Bit pricey, but I'm liking the following:

  • Tacx T2270 i-Flow with TTS4 Basic - guarantees a very realistic cycle experience (6 permanent-magnets!)
  • Tacx T2220 FLOW Multiplayer Ltd Edition - connects to your pc
  • Tacx T2200 FLOW Ergotrainer - with handlebar computer

The T2220 is the front runner at the moment ;)

Yes Thomo!

  • I was really hoping Fabian was going to do a 2013 Roubaix attack
  • Honestly surprised with Wiggo and Geraint gliding over those cobbles to get a top 10
  • But very happy for the 29yo's win

And to average 45+ kmph!, Respect.
