I'm falling in live with my SS again

Lately. I have been spending more and more time on my SS (MTB SS,) and the more I ride it, the less I want to ride my (fancy and awesome) geared Bike.

 

I have totally fallen in live with the simplicity and the fun of riding it all over again. I am like a boy with a new toy, and I can't wait to go riding again.

 

I have reached the point where I am contemplating taking the SS on the monster long rides that has been reserved for my trail bike up to now. And to help me indulge in this lunacy I am going to strip my plastic bike down to the frame to give it a decent service and some new pivot bearings etc. This will force me to ride the SS until I eventually finish the service.

 

I actually can't wait, the plastic bike might hang in the service bay until long after completion.

Question is "How can you fall out of love for your SS?" Every time I ride a SS it reminds me of riding BMX's back in the 80's, can't help but smile and love it

i built an Inbred in October. sold my FS the day after the Argus. Did 4 days at Oak Valley last weekend and did not once wish that I had gears.
