What road bike for R50k

So many choices, man.

What kinda ride are you looking for?

Racey and stiff but efficient

Comfortable and less jarring on the fillings

Somewhere in-between

Looking for more speed. Don't like climbing but I am currently working hard in that department. So racey and stiff. Looking to race with the vets again in 2015.

Like the aero shape and the smaller rear stays compare to the more traditional frame.

The Scott foil is an amazing bike there is a foil15 (58) on the classifieds with Di2 that is worth a look, demo bike. Only issue is that they are stiffer than Ron Jeremy with a bucket of viagra and are not exactly 'comfortable' when hitting bumps. On the up side it's aero, fast as all hell and you lose none of the power you put in.

That Look with Di2 is an insane deal and I'm sure you can make a plan then shell the balance on some extra zipps.

The Venges are proven as are the Cannondales.

I guess it comes down to what you like and suits you. Some of those are uncompromising fast race machines but may be a bit raw for a lot of people day to day. Others will still place well on come race day but be viewed as more 'comfortable' setups.

How tall are you?

I see Omnico are having crazy specials on some of their Cannondales - an EVO Team issue which was 90 plus selling for 54k.

Complete Cyclist

Those are really good prices for a M10. My heart is set on a lugged C59 though.
