GerrieTruter Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 My GT Marathon 1.0 Have changed the seatpost to a Cobalt 2 and the pedals to Candy 2's since the photo has been taken. My first soft tail, and enjoying every moment on the bike. Before the Marathon I had a GT Avalanche 0.5.

Hi Fabian, I have yet to drop a chain on this setup, and I run a normal XO Derailleur, and experience no chain slap either, it doesn't add up, I know! Guess Im just very lucky

Guess Im just very lucky Thats awesome!! I think we have the same RD's...I think we bought it from the same guy if i remember correctly. Currently running a X9 2x10, that im thinking of converting to a 1x11.

Just do it bro, its a flipping amazing setup, really works well and atleast all your gears gets utilized, you drop the odd 350grms off your bike too
