Pedestrian and cycle lanes on the cards for JHB

"The Star reports that the City of Johannesburg will be putting a plan in place to make the city more pedestrian and cycle friendly.

 

So, within the next few years, Joburg commuters will be able to cycle or walk from Sandton to Alexandra, from Orlando to Noordgesig and from Rosebank to Sandton.

 

The city has already started establishing cycling lanes in many suburbs and has spent time and money on encouraging the use of outdoor areas and public transport, by creating cycling links to Rea Vaya stations, street furniture and proper pavements, among others."
