Cois Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 Ek het 'n probleem met my SHIMANO BB. Na so 80 km kom die cup (die plastiek ding wat alles moet vashou) los en dan kreun en kraak die ding. Dit voel al of ek 'n hammer kan vat .... oaky julle kry die prentjie? Enige raad? Groete Cois

linnega Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 Get a different BB, and crankset... Otherwise, tighten to the maximum recommended torque using a torque wrench. For the BB that is usually f'ing tight. If you don't have a torque wrench, get a shop to do it.

TheLegend Posted September 7, 2006 Posted September 7, 2006 buy a new bottom braket. the good ones don't have plastic cups but metal ones which last way longer. no need to buy new cranks cause they don't change much!
