Hi guys

Thinking of purchasing this frame that is in impeccable condition. What should I pay for this fame, forks and seat post?

My second question is that I am 1.8m with an inseam length of 83cm and currently ride a 56cm bike but this Madone is a 54cm frame. Will this frame be too small for me?

Thanks Clinton

Depends, the top tube might even measure greater than 54cm.

It's a great frame to have, and riding one frame smaller seems to be the norm, from traditional measurements.

Thanks Guys for your feedback and more would be really appreciated.

I have compare the frame to my current 56cm frame and the top tube length looks to almost be a perfect match in length but the BB looks to be about 2cm higher and if the seat post can be raised to compensate this then does that change the geometry of the frame (i.e. make it uncomfortable)?

In addition the steer tube is not as long as on my current bike and I worried that I would be placing extra pressure on my palms (getting sore/numb hands) or am I being paranoid?

The selling price is R12000 is this a good price?

You need to be very sure you can make it fit you. I think most post agree that it's going to be a little too small.

Don't worry too much about your inseam. It can be easily adjusted by the seat post. You are most probably going to end up with a very aggressive position (ie bars much lower than you seat) If you are ok with that (dont have back and neck problem) then you could make it work. A lot of pro's that don't have access to custom geometries do this, and put a very long stem on.

Have a look at Peter Sagan's Cannondale he road PR on- anything is possible. www.cyclingnews.com/features/pro-bike-peter-sagans-cannondale-synapse-hi-mod

Again thanks again guys.

Does anyone know what the customary height difference is between the top of the stem and top of the seat?

As I have worked out that the difference will be 11cm and my current bike difference is 6cm.
