Had fun out there even though it was on my local trails! Nice seeing Taliban Pete and Scotty out and about.

Thankful that they had put those pallets and stuff at the muddy bits and that the water level was quite low.

Louis for sure knows how to mark a route well that's for sure [emoji3]

I am a tad surprised at how little feedback there is on the race, so I will add some more.

The route was fantastic, the marshaling very good, and there was no way one could get lost. Really well marked route.

The bananas and baby potatoes at the water points were a nice touch, and there was a nice vibe among the riders.

It was quick and easy to get in and out the venue, so for me. The race checked all the boxes. Also, the entry was cheap!

The only downsides: I was personally very disappointed with my own performance, as I struggled to keep up with my mates, my hr racing. To make matters worse, we had 28 minutes stoppage time due to 3 punctures, and a bitchy cleat, but all in the fun of it I suppose.

I will be Back next year for sure [emoji1303]

Tad envious of the MTBers in the south (as NSBB boastfully pointed out to me at the start <_< )with plenty of tracks available.

Last did this race when it was still hosted by Lido hotel and the number collection and parking at new venue was significantly better. Route marking was one of the best I've encountered, plenty of marshals and while I did not stop at the WP they appeared well stocked. The route itself I found although fast ,did have a bit of everything.

Only thing I would perhaps add is a bike wash at the end, but maybe that's just me been lazy.  :whistling:

We also did the race on Sunday.

Rode to the start but looked like there was enough parking and there was coffee for sale at the start!

Route was flat and fast and very well marked. Coke, water and food at the water points,   .

Fruit and more drinks at the finish line and a couple of places selling food.

Will definitely be back!

Fully agree with my learned friend, Escapee. Well organised event. Can we please go over that little hill again to make it more interesting?
