XT replacing repairing a lever

Hi Hubbers,

 

managed to knock of my 2014 XT right brake lever ( A Big Off), I have the lever and a pin can this be easily replaced or repaired by my LBS?

 

Or do I need to buy a new right side lever/brake.

From a discussion i had with a bike shop, with Shimano you have to buy replacement levers

You might be able to knock the pin back in and fit it all back together but from what I understand typically Shimano only sells the lever as complete unit if you need to replace.
