60km. Brilliant event. Just proof that one can have loads of fun without cycling up a mountain. No congestion.

Shower at the parking was brilliant, my wife used it after the 30km.

I like this terrain.

Were you the guy standing on that hill! I was quite suprised I made it all the way without coming off? following my crap form today!

Yes, was me, well done!! suprised with the guys in the middle section of the group, they had a better success rate than the first group.

Was a good event, my first experience and the 30km was fine till the first uphill about 10km in... I know i could cycle up but people dismount in front of you and you are forced to do the same. I'm considering doing the Tru Cape this coming Saturday.

I did the 30km, really enjoyed it (maybe it was due to my new bike!). This was only my 2nd "race", following the Die Burger MTB challenge last year, so obviuosly it is all still new to me.

I have noticed some complaints on the forum about having to dismount and walk due to slower / less technically capable riders in front of you, and also experienced this on the track. I also found it hard to overtake other riders in some areas - specifically where they are riding or pushing their bikes next to each other (not that I did not push as well!). Dont know if I perhaps missed it somewhere, but at no stage was any sort of "riders briefing" given as is being done at offroad / enduro motorcycle events. Maybe this can help? At these riders briefings new riders were made familiar with danger / route markings, as well as the general rulses such as allowing faster riders to pass.
