What about the relaunched scott addict. The top frame was the lightest mass produced frame around. Less than 1 kilo for frame and fork.

I don't see too much comment about the Cannondale Evo.

I ride a 2011/2012 Super Six Hi-Mod and am so in love with the bike it's not even funny.

It's so good I even feel bad riding such a pristine bike.

Such a well balanced bike in all aspects that a road bike should excel at.

Budget is R30k to R40k and size 56

Jeez, that is a lot of bike for the money new and heaps more 'pre-loved'. you'd get a Scott foil 15 with good carbon and Di2 for that new depends how much you want a power transferring, race machine and don't care about the rough ride from the stiffness of Ron Jeremy. you'll have change, new, for an matching set of shoes, Second hand? Many shoes and some classy wheels as well! The Evo is awesome and some great bargains to be had. TCRs are starting to come through with Di2 at good prices... then there is the Propel. That is a bike of note. Don't forget your Times and the italian mafia as they are always classy.

Pornstar had an exceptional Look going that was a great price and a hell of a machine.

Other than that.... you're not going to go wrong really. Just work out what you want it for, how you ride and the right bike will fall into place. Nice problem to have!

I had a similar shortlist with the stealth Venge Expert in the lead for months. Eventually though I decided to go for the Madone 5.2 because for me its just the best mix of what I want - a little aero while still being a really smooooth ride (though not soft in the way a domane or Rubaix is). Add in nifty handling and climbing ability - and I am a sucker for the balck finish. All its begging for is some new wheels...

I'm collecting mine on Saturday - cant wait.

If I take the Trek I must wait until November for the wheel upgrade. Spoke to Ben at CL Fourways and he said the Trek is the best bike. I don't know which way to go.

The worst thing is I can't sleep

What're you riding now?

Of all the brands, Spez or Cannondale is definitely awesome bikes.

The Venge is stiff like am ironing board - racey.

The Evo is a very balanced - a bit of comfort and a bit of racey, superb technology.

I have venge with sram22 and zipp 404 wheels. Carbon easton bars. Specialized roman saddle. Amazing ride. U cant go wrong with it. The zipps are not the lightest wheels and bike weighs in at 7.04kg with peddles.

Go get yourself a Swift Carbon Ti

The new limited blue paintscheme is awesome. Have seen them been ridden by team riders in Cape Town. The frames are kow ridden by a Pro-continental team in Oz.
