Lefty front hub bearing size?

Hi

 

I have a 2013 Flash there is currently a bit of play in my front Lefty hub, obviously the wheel bearings need replacing. LBS quoted me R560 for a set. Can I get these bearings from Bearing Man and what size are they?

You should be able to read the size/code on the seal of the bearing ( different sized bearing on each side). From this you can check who has stock.

The larger bearing should be a 6805 2rs same as the shimano, etc. external bb. The smaller one is 6902 2rs IIRC.

For easton hubs I Paid R 40 per bearing at BMG for the good quality (make sure to ask for good price) and took about 10 min todo a wheel. Prob take about 2 min now i know how.

 

 

Most wheel manufacturers have step by step on how to chnage it on there websites otherwise youtube is your friend

now if somebody could give us the codes for cannondale headset bearings too this would be excellent start to the day

Thanks, replaced my Lefty hub bearings with:

 

ENDURO ABEC 25x37x7 6805 2RS

ENDURO MAX 15x28x7 6902 2RS

 

I see the code on my old Headset Bearing is 397508RS

Thanks David, i took the headset bearing code to every bearing supplier i could find and not one had any clue as to which bearing it is, landed up having to buy from the LBS and they are NOT cheap, seems like the headset bearing in an odd size

Did a bit of reading on the internet and it seems that this particular bearing is used in the aircraft industry (turbines) and is very expensive.
