How do you travel to IM70.3? Suppose flying easiest but heckof expensive.

Anyone interested in driving down together? Or buying/selling a spot in a car?

Jaaaa, trying to get a feel for volume. I am thinking I am a bit on the light side for this time of year. Just cannot seem to get going.

And we still have December coming up, that's when you need to be dedicated

Going to be tough not falling off the wagon

Been sick so have done nothing since 5150. Hence the need to go big in December.

I have also been struggling.  DNF at the 94.7km.  I have lost all of my running form.  This is an incredibly tough sport to train for consistently.

Agreed. Struggling to stay fit for all 3 disciplines.

Cycling is up at the moment, running and swimming is down. Will have to work super hard over the next 2 months to do something decent at the 70.3...

Can I offer some advice. it took me 8 years to realise this and since racing has been awesome.

Plan your whole day around the run. If you can run your time as planned then you will have a great day end of story. When on the bike tell yourself all the time that you still need to run. If you run as planned then you will also do a PB. Running well is awesome as you really enjoy the crowds and it is always important to end whatever you do well cause that's the part you will remember.

Also rather take 2 minutes extra in T2 and make sure you are comfortable going out on the run (even if this means new dry clothes and washing your face and cleaning your glasses etc. People get carried away with racing other athletes and the crowd and then you push yourself into the red zone too often on the bike.

It only take 2 or 3 minutes in the red zone on the bike to ruin your run.

The easiest way to achieve this is to set a target max HR and to stay below it end of story.

My training has actually gone ok in terms of intensity. I however cannot seem to find the motivation to do long rides over the weekend. I am currently doing about 2 hour rides. I think I am still carrying some mental scars from the long bike rides while training for Ironman earlier this year.
