Group Ride from Rietvlei

Hi fellow bikers we have a small group that meet at Rietvlei 7:30 am on sundays and ride to block house +- 40 Km.

Any body interested are welcome its an easy ride and the more the better. We also want to find new routes to ride, so join us .

Wife me and some friends also do that route, either blockhouse or just he Heineken loop every Sunday/2nd Sunday. One planned for this coming Sunday again also.

 

A bit longer is the tea garden at 65km, also keen on doing a 80'ish with 500+ m of climbing every other weekend.

Need to get some distance into the legs. Doing Thaba Wednesday and when I can Friday's atm.

Hi there's always a group going out of Rietvlei Sat, Sun am and Weds night. Very sociable bunch, medium to fastish but stop to re-group. They have a variety of routes too.

 

They meet by the parking for Rietvlei"s trails and are leaving at 7:30am this time of year. This is tomorrow's ride:

 

Meet: Rietvlei at 07h15 to leave at 07h30 Please note time Change

Ride: Rietvlei, Klip River, Single track, Both Wattles, Wash away Alley, Sun valley Rd past the

Blue shed, Whoza Whoza, single track, Klip River and home Jerome.

Ride Captain: Conrad Hoofseun

Distance: 60 kms average speed of 17km\h 3-4 hours minimum

Ascent: 400m

Money: Cool drinks at the Deep South pub.

General: Folks bring snacks and liquid,

Rules: Folks, please don’t drop papers or dispose of tubes on the route.

Ride out here with 1 or 2 others every Saturday and Sunday, distance 45km to 100km ave speed 20km/h, problem with big groups is the speed drops and we end up doing less than planned, but wouldn't mind joining for a ride a couple times a mounth could be a jol.
