Gotta admit, my Trek has been a beaut. I only had one issue with a creaking left pedal from new, but it was only because Bike Basement didn't tighten it when they put the pedals on the new bike.

It looks more like a cross between a "anthem and trek" the front of a anthem and the rear of a trek, seems they sorted out the anthem cracking story with that extra ridge.

Thank you, do you know who did that shock connected to the rear swing arm first?

For want of better terms...

First trek to come out with their "full floater" floating shock was in 2007: http://dirtragmag.com/2008-trek-fuel-ex-sneak-peek/

If I understand correctly Pyga has been around since 2012 only.

Wouldn't mind either one of the two, but the new Remedy 29 9.9 takes the cake: http://www.pinkbike.com/photo/11059311/?s6

pyga may only have been here since 2012, but morewood (Patrick morewood's previous baby) was around for a lot longer.

I see you can customize your Trek on the website. Everything from colour to parts to decals. amazing. Anyone done this? Love the look of the fuel 9.9.

Wonder if this is available here in good old SA?

I believe Dave Weagle developed a full floater design for Independent Fabrication back in 2005 before Trek brought out a series production model in 2007.

The designs were very different in that the Indy Fab design was based around Weagles DW-Link while Trek based theirs around their Active Brake Pivot design
