very simple, start building up to 3-5 hour easy  rides every saturday and sunday and hard rides in the week, TIME IN THE SADDLE, and when you got loong weeknds get used to doing 100km consecutively over a few days  3-4 and you will be fine,

it would be a great time to start over december get used to riding day after day and build on that, unless you racing joberg2c is very doable challenge

Thanks Dipslick

I though as much, it boils down to time. Going to have a wonderful December!

Got a PM as well from a rider who rode this year, will also give him a call to find out the nitty gritty of a 9 dayer... and what to pack....

So here's a question about training.

Generally over December, January and February we are training for Argus, sorry Cape Town Cycle Tour. Our training is 2 x 1.5 hour rides during the week and a 100 km on the weekend. And we aim to get 3:20 to 3:30. Which we usually achieve

But now this year, we're doing the... CTCT and the J2C (for the first time).

How much can I rely on my road bike training?

I took strain on the W2W (although I did a reasonable time), and I felt it was because I hadn't spent enough time on the mountain bike.

And the other question is, if I switch over to MTB training now, will it hurt my Argus time?

I understand the TITS concept but does it matter which saddle?

Road brings up your speed

If you racing It is essential

If you riding for A JOL and you want to enjoy SLOW TITS
