We always ask our clients to contact us if they struggle with any of our products. Our direct drive trainer, the Hammer, is due to arrive late January and if after we have inspected the trainer and tried our best to correct will be open to suggestions on how we can get you onto the new Hammer if you had interest in upgrading. Please give us a call early next week so we can get you sorted out. I really appreciate your response bud! When I bought the trainer Dave referred to the freewheel cycology who he knew had stock. The unit is about 2years old now so taking it back would be rather pointless because they can't really work on the unit in my understanding. I would not mind upgrading to the hammer but all indications are that it is quite a bit more expensive than the tacx neo and the wahoo kickr Sending the unit up to you guys will cost a fortune since it weighs a ton. I will drop you a mail non the less. Who can I address the mail to?

But let's deal with your issues first. The coatings to send the resistance unit up to us will be R150.00 each way with FedEx. I really appreciate your response bud! I will def miss all the virtual routes and online racing from VIT. Question to those who have tried trainer road: Do they also have a training diary like VIT to log your ride? Maybe I can still use the VIT diary without subscription? Thanks in advance

For those who wonder, you cannot upload external rides to trainer road which is unfortunate. I think VIT has in general the best platform even though I think trainer road is more structured in that it provides training. I guess the platform applications are different (aka cater for diff focus). If VIT could incorporate a PMT as well as training applications as trainer road it would be the ultimate platform. I will still try out trainer road but def getting VIT in winter to have best of both worlds

VirtualTraining as well as Zwift have trial periods, I assume TrainerRoad would too? I've only used Tacx's software and CycleOps VirtualTraining, I definitely prefer the latter. I enjoy riding the routes, even though 99% of the time I don't use the video (no time at 180bpm), and I can use structured workouts if I want some pain.
