i am in the market for a trainer to join you guys.

can each one talking part in these races, perhaps states what model / brand trainer you use?

want Kickr but man that is expensive!

- would like a trainer with auto adjustable resistance from profile though

got some cool feedback from Wayne ( Cycleops) but also want to hear which models you guys actually use

Powerbeam Pro with iPad mini and BLE HRM :-) Pull the trigger, no regrets!

Was a lot of money for me to spend on a IDT, considering I couldn't last more than 30min on my previous one.

Must admit probably the best R10k I've invested in my cycling.

For some guys it will be different, but for me getting home at 6pm with 3 small kids at home, wet and cold Cape winter... suddenly R10k isn't that much anymore!

Now the kids get to enjoy me falling of my bike, playing dead for 10min after each race while I get a hell of a workout!

Don't be fooled its still not like riding outside, but it brings a whole new dimension to IDT, which make it a lot more enjoyable than was previously the case.

Agreed. I am in a similar boat to you with 4 kids. Riding on the complainer helped me but i go so board and sore that i can't even look at it any more. BUT if i could partake in Multi PLayer type scenarios where you have a set time to ride it would make a BIG difference to me. Now to sell my computrainer i guess.

. Dipslick has the cheapest option. He has a standalone powermeter with an old washing machine motor next to it
