In last step you have to click on connect to race and that is where issue lies. Posted numerous races yesterday to try do it from all angles but it all ends up the same Hopefully Dave gets it sorted with the cycleops guys soonI had the exact problem. Maybe the problem exists only on the desktop version. Did anyone, using the pc version manage to enter the race last night?

I will sort that out first thing right now if I were you...load some geld in itunes account cause it works on the apple subscription model which deducts money form your itunes account every month.

Should it start downloading (would like to download from the office if possible as my signal at home is non-existing) See you guys tonight (I'll be the guy in the back picking up the gel packets and thanking the spectators!)

You can choose to stream it...download it...or not to have video. I go with the last option cause I dont have huge data package. Ok so what I have done before ito downloading video for a route is to go to the route in the routes tab....there will be an option to download or stream. toggle to download and click download video button if you are at the office...as in now. This will then pre download the route video for you into the app. So tonight when the race starts and the countdown time begins...you would already have it. I have done something similiar when I ran out of data last month...I downloaded the lighthouse california's video and then used it whilst there wasnt even a connection to the webs...worked great. Obviously i couldnt sync my workouts afterwards. PS what is your virtual trainer name / handle....will send a friend request.
rouxtjie Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Oh and for the guys like me that are on a data budget....I monitored my data usage with last night's race...it was 50 minutes long and i used 130MB of data....there was no video so this is just google earth refreshing and obviously metrics from other guys.
TALUS Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Dont do PC for live racing. It works fine if it is not live racing. Then you choose rouxtjie as virtual partner and watch him dissapear into the sunset.

deonkretch Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Just realised my IDT is still setup like my MTB - so running a 32 in front with 11spd in the back. Can I change the virtual gearing from the iPad or only by logging on to the site via PC? Let the fun begin!

Let the fun begin!nope sorry when using the PowerBeam its designed to work with the gears you have on the bike, as i am sure you found out you may have been a little under geared with the 32 at the front??

Urgent work stuff. @PowerTap: the huge benefit of this is that there will now be lots of VirtualPartners to train with. Maybe consider making the race over a 24h period - times will stand and those that miss out can catch up later at night.
