I was talking more about actually mounting it to the frame. After that you'd have to make sure it fits a beer, probably a Darling or a Windhoek Draught dumpy.

VERY true

Maybe a beer bottle like this

"Hangover from my aircraft tech days I guess." Well said Kosmonooit, good sense in that. Applying aircraft rules to a KTM 640, I don't think it would be allowed out of the shed. To me it's an African bike - what it can't shake loose it will break.

Hope you have a nice set of spanners to work on that KTM - bobbejaan is not a long term-solution.

At least you know those spanners will get plenty of use...

Luke, I would avoid the Tork bike repair stand, its not robust enough to hold the your bike up by the seat post and if you clamp anywhere else it usually clamps your cables as well, money well wasted IMHO.

Well, then I must have gotten a faulty one, because mine clamps the seatpost more than tight enough on 3 different bikes duals and hardtails and holds the bike up well, it's not supreme but at R700 it was amazing value for money.

Cant go wrong with parktool - but some of the prices are OTT

Allen key set from tooltime.co.za, R235 http://www.adendorff.co.za/ProductDetails.aspx?id=3308

Park tool ones, around 1k http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/za/en/park-tool-p-handled-hex-wrench-set-ph1/rp-prod13245

Adendorff generally sells cheap stuff, so you have to be careful. The Allen keys I linked above are of really good quality.

Their torque wrenches seem ok, good value for money.

Those sets mentioned above are also great value IMHO

Thanks for the advice, in the interim I have gone and bought one, so will just have to hope it does the job.
