I saw her standing next to the rode close to the finish.  Looks like she were involved in a crash. Anyone with news? She were in tears but didnt look to bad.

I saw her just after the finish talking to her husband, and heard him ask her if her arm was ok, and she shook her head, holding her arm across her stomach. Looked quite sore.

Thats what worried me....she held her arm as if her collarbone were broken. But I see she finished.

I didn't see the "Princesses" interview, but I got the same version from two sources.

Yeah, there was a crash, but with about 3km to go she was WAY off the pace, sitting like in 50th position, I don't think the crash had anything to do with that. And she apparently also blamed her wrist? The one that was broken more than a year ago and by now healed? Just say that you were beaten by a better rider. Out of that whole bunch, Cherise crossed in about 3rd of 4th place, amazing.

Is she not also the Yolandi de Villiers that was meant to ride Epic with Andrew McClean?

Hope she's OK!!! If I remember correctly she also had a big fall towards the end of last year at an MTB race that put her out for a while. LittleBen helped there and it was not pleasant!

I have started riding on the road again after braking my collarbone and shoulder 5 weeks ago and i have to say CRASHING AGAIN after a accident like this is really not good. The doctor told me it takes 4 months for the bone to be 100% so crashing now is very bad for her.

ALL MY SYMPATHYS!!!

When was the previous break??

I agree with Grapkas, at least 4-6months to heal and set fully.

If someone chances a ride where there is a good possibility of a fall and the bone is still not 100% set and healed - well, you deserve what you get.

I spoke to her after she came in la la la la, she seemed fine, remember, she's know as "Yster" for a reason. Only after chatting to her for a few minutes I saw she had a few skraps on her arm and leg, when I inquired she just said she had a fall but made no big deal of it, I think she'll be fine.
