Why are cyclists dumb??????

Why is it when a normal sane person who has a good job and who may be an accomplished person mounts a bike he becomes a slobbering idiot. Is is physiological or is it phsycological????? Is there some sort of gland that starts overproducing that creates this Jekyl and Hyde personality. I sincerely hope there is a plausible reason for this phenomonon.

During the ARGUS there was a bad fall on the winding doenhill section to Scarborough. Marshalls (yes the plural) were warning other cyclists with red flags, loudhailers, whistles and loud voices. Still a dumb ass on a expensive carbon bike with deep section rims came barrelling down the hill at full taps causing marshalls and paramedics to scatter everywhere. He still has the audacity to swear at them. Why is this happening. We are slitting our own throats. We are making ourselves dirt in the eyes of the public and motorists. We are slowly killing our own sport with this disgusting attitude.

Oom, it's the same as take an otherwise intelligent human being, put them on a fast bike and they think the whole of Jhb is Kyalami. And the biggest prob is how these types always stand up for those who do exactly what they do but beeatch and moan when it's the same principle but the specific action is something else - ie the cyclists beeatch about the bikers and the bikers about the taxis and the taxis about the BMWs but end of the day they are all wrong and they are all being selfish and inconsiderate.

you should see the what happens to doctors, lawyers and engineers in there 30/40/50s when they attend football matches - same mob basic instincts come to the fore.

(p.s. when I have paid R40k for a bike and I am racing to break 3 hours in the Argus, for which I have dedicated maybe hundreds of training hours and I am riding on a road dedicated to me for the day, which I have paid for with my taxes.....then marshalls, paramedics and banged up cyclists must %^**&^&*& off out of my way!)Wink

Fietsryers is nie dom nie.... They are Oxygen deprived... That is why we are do dofffffff!

The harder you train the more oxygen is needed for your muscles and the brain goes into a shut down mode to use less oxygen because it is needed elsewhere.

That is why someone that is not fit sometimes passes out after doing somehing very strenious.

Wondered about this for some time aswell and now we all know.

Ons is nie dom nie maar Oxygen Deprived... party gevalle sommer net minder slim!Big%20smile

My training het eintlik baie goed verloop en dis darem nie alles te versmaai nie want dit sal definitief baie help die naweek by die XC SA Champs in KZN.
