Hi Thinking of doing this race but see they see it is a tough course.

Anybody know the route or have any profiles on this.

Guess I will go and tough it out to try and get my season kick started again.

Ok,

Looks like I will be doing this one on my own.

Need the endurance training in any case.

Is the return route on the Moloto road?

Yes. And no it is not that dangerous on a Sunday, broad shoulder almost all the way

Entered for the 80 only as the last time I did 100 km's was in April. also looked like a very small field.

So hopefully this can kickstart my training again.

I'm doing it - hope like hell its not tough - we need to do a 5hr on Sunday, so we are riding 20km to the race, and then 20km back home after.....

Training for the DC? :)

Only a proper shoulder from the road where one can turn off and go to Pebble Rock still actually a ver safe route, we ride it often

Nice

Was a nice race - and a tough undulating course! Great value for money!

Agree with You.

Had to dig deep after 5 months of no real training , but this was decent training in the wind and on the hills.

a Couple of places where it would be a bit dangerous for a newcomer to cycling to ride

Nice race from Jacaranda, was a bid afraid of the Molotto road but that turned out to be the nicest part of the (tough) route. it really deserves to be attended better, maybe the same weekend as the Sun City kept the numbers down?
