Entry level hardtail shootout

Sold my nice giant x1 and getting a intern hardtail while i save for my dream bike.

 

So which wil be better choice looking at max of 11k.

Giant talon 1

Merida big 9 500

 

Bare inmind in a weekend dude who does 50 to 70k races, do one if those a month and rest is traik, spruit and commute .

 

If you want recomend another brand and bike but say why...

Silverback Sola2? They should be very similar in price to the Merida Big 9 500.

 

What about the Momsens? The AL329/AL429 comes with a set of ZTR Rapid Rims which will make a tubeless conversion childsplay. The difference between these models is SRAM(AL329) and Shimano(AL429). Both these should be in a similar price bracket as the other bikes you have mentioned.

I've got a Giant Talon 1..Do 40km+ rides on weekends and I really push the bike to its limits.If it's rocky and twisty I'll try and ride it..It's only given me smiles as the wind flows through hair while I rip it through single track and battle out some technical climbs..
