I bought this bike used, can't get the seat post to adjust. I have loosened this hex bolt and nothing happens. Any suggestions or advice on how to resolve?

many thanks

Tap loosened bolt lightly with a rubber hammer to unbind the lock

Problem resolved thanks, I took your advice and gave it a clout.

This is the Hub. Resolving the problem and ending the thread have absolutely nothing to do with each other.

Glad you got sorted though...

Not at all sir. Sure we can still get a 26" vs 29" debate, Avid VS Shimano or one of the others in here. Or perhaps it's time to figure out which seatpost diameter is best. I vote for 31.6mm :)

No, my Scott has a 34.9mm seatpost and we all know bigger is always better.
