I am about to upgrade from my Giant XTC, battling to decide on a bike, have decided on dual suspension as I will be doing longer events like Berg & Bush and Joberg2C. Budget roughly R50k. Advice please?

Have just got the VIPA, from a anthem X 29er.

All I can say is WOW. Awesome bike, climbs like a dream, super stable on the decent. Point and shoot responsive (a morewood Zula with big wheels)

Enjoy whatever you get.

Take a look at the Epic Elite, just over 50k, but great ride. If it were me, it would be between that and the Vipa.

Thanks for all the input guys. Getting an Element to test ride is a mission, same for Vipa.

Best value bike here for sure. Only 29er dual suspension on your list that can fit 2 bottle cages in the frame, also has some essential tools built into the frame, the swat system. Plenty available to test ride, and it has proven itself over and over. Simple choice really.
