Just tell her that The Hub has spoken and that it is a compulsory ride Saturday, sure she will understand...and if she doesn't, we will come and visit you in hospital after 3 weeks when you are able to open your eyes again

She's cleverer than that, she'll bliksem me over the head with my bike, breaking both in the process. Then there's no riding, even after three weeks.

Heading changed, Woofie.

Warren-G, it was a Husband and wife team. They rode from Tableview, did the ride and then rode back to Tableview. At least 160km roundtrip for them on Mtb's with knobblies..

BIG KUDOS AND RESPECT

WHAT??? Mega respect then! I've done the Argus route on my knobblies and certainly started feeling the increased resistance towards the end but cycling from and back to Tableview...hats off!

Hi, I am considering giving this a try on Saturday, hopefully I can make it around. I will be coming from the Athlone area, so looking to join up around the Liesbeek Parkway / Klipfontein Rd intersection. Do you come pass this point? What time would you be here? Depending on the time, I may come back over Constantia Nek after Chappies.

We are still doing the ride tomorrow. You guys can still join if you want. It is a open public road after all.

BUT!

This is a team ride for our DC. We will all be in our team kit. Because we are raising money for MS we are having a professional photographer that is going to be following us around the route taking pictures for the charity and the website.

So it is very important that just the DC team is together in a group for the photos.

So if you are with us, you must be a bit front of us so that you dont get left behind on the climbs because we are only going to really be watching for our guys.

Also please dont get into our photos. :whistling:

We are NOT doing the same route as last week.

We are doing suiker, chappies, black hill, smits, maybe around kommetjie coast side, chappies, suiker.

Roughly 120km. Ive plotted it on mapmyride and it has +-2350 climbing.

So it is going to be a tough ride.

Please only join us if you are good for the distance and effort because we are not going to wait for people that arent part of our group.

Sorry to lay it out thick, but we only have this one opportunity for the photographer and we have limited time for this.

I will be arranging more rides in the future (soon within the next few weeks) where they wont be a photographer so that will be a lot easier group wise and socially.

Hi guys,

I would like to join your ride tomorrow. Ive just bought my first roadbike, and would like to go ride with a group of riders on its maiden voyage. Those wheels are DUN and quite frankly scares me!

Im a mountainbiker and would be good for the distance on knobblies so I trust I can do this! If not, I can always turn around!

Ill stay out of the photos, no worries! ; )
