Ok, has everybody stop laughing? I have been cycling for the past several years and for the past 2 years and did the 94.7 in sub 3 so not new to cycling. I got a new bike 3 months ago so it might be the setup as well. Went for a ride last Sunday and my ass muscles was sore until Tuesday no saddles sores. I can also feel that my legs are struggling with my current exercises. Is this due to my core not being strong enough, wrong setup or any exercises I can do to avoid this. Except for shut up and ride more.

My previous bike was a Merida Scultura Evo and current one is a Venge. The guys did a bike fit for me. I think I must move the saddle back .5cm and see what happens. I did previous rides with no soreness but had a bad wind blowing Sunday for the 60km.

you probably shifted your body forward (unwillingly) to get more power to cycle in the wind.

p.s. I tend to do the same that's why I think that's your problem

Some q for your consideration:

Have you intensified your training effort lately?

Are you using lots of consistent power strokes - slow, heavy cadence (often used to build strength)

Do you foam roll the glutes or have then massaged?

Do you stretch regularly?

Think I must start strechting again and do some core again. Will also move saddle back 5mmm to test for now.

Thanks for the advice
