pearl izumi

Does anyone out there have any idea if any local bikeshops stock pearl Iizumi shoes? Would like to know if the sizing is similar to that of the sidi range.

Cool Heat is the local agent. They should be able to tell you who stocks their clothes in your area. I love their bibs and shirts but sometimes have difficulty finding stock.

Thanks for the info chaps. Got hold of cool heat and amazingly even though they have the agency they will not be bringing road shoes in to sa. Why? They recon it would cost the public to much. My question is why accept an agency if you wont bring in the road shoe range. And also presume what the public can or cant afford.

 

Anyway long story short r and a cycles new york have stock colour and sizes. $300 ex postage and duty. Affordable as are the sidi wires at a similar price.

Cool Heat probably has the rights for another road shoe and they don't want to import something that will compete with that. Or their agreement with the other shoe supplier is that they will import his road shoes exclusively. It often has very little to do with how good or how affordable a product is. Free market, ha ha!

As DJR suggested, probably clashes with their Shimano shoes.

 

Unfortunately agents are often also just guided by the market ... how many people do you know that are presently keen on Pearl shoes.?

 

Just like colour ... every brand available in SA has white. How many bother to bring in black shoes.?

Size guide can be very misleading 'cause newer models (eg Sidi Wire) seem to fit very differently.
