I'll always think of Jens and his hour record whenever I hurt on a hill or struggle to hang on to a bunch, or for that matter whatever tough stuff is yet to happen in life.  I'll simply mumble "shut up legs" in my mind and push harder!  this dude is inspirational like few others!

 

I loved his quote after his last tour de france this year:

"instead of crying because its over, I'll smile because it happened"

Let's assume as one hubber suggested that Jens and Trek are a "marketing" engine because they "lost Lance"

Well I am not sure that this was a marketing stint at all. I recon Jens wanted to do it to go out on a high. All I am saying is that Trek will have to start getting some more exposure than just Sparticus doing something spectacular every now and again. I all honesty I dont thin Jens is enough exposure for Trek. They need a good GC rider that can challenge for Grand tour wins. Not just get a top 15 or top 20 finish.
