Hi Fanie,

just the standard route, probably the 2012 version then if last year's was rerouted due to rain.  I would like to load it into my garmin for the race, thanks.

moenie vir jou garmin kyk nie, van daai draaie is bietjie rof en dis ver grond toe.

enjoy die ride!

Only diversion I can think of is between the start and swartberg pass. Instead of going through the farms to go on the tar.

that must be it, 2013 we were on tar all the way until the foot of the pass.

are you sure I thought that was the usual route, where was the diversion?

The normal route has some jeep track at the start and not all tar to the foot of the pass

Amazed that I still managed to get an entry for the race village on monday evening. Last year this option was sold out quickly. Does this mean the attendance might not be as good as last year?

last year wasn't that great attendance wise.

lots of guys didn't pitch because it rained somewhat in the week leading up to the event.

i remember all those goodie bags standing behind the registration table that guys just didn't bother rockin up to collect, Also we weren't even sure if race was going to go ahead, hence the 30min delay so plenty guys just turned around & went back to where ever they came from, those who camped climbed back into their sleeping bags. But I can tell you I was relieved when they said we are going to race as I specifically came up from Cape Town only for the race & what a treat it was when we arrived in The Hell, cooling off in the river was Devine.
