HP Action Cam

Hi guys,

I see Makro has a special on an HP Action cam for R999 with various mounts.

Do any of you have any experience with it?

It seems like a do-able camera and a lot cheaper than a Go-Pro especially since I'm not even sure I will use it a lot (based on many comment seen on the forums).

Thanks

I got one last week and used it for the first time on the weekend. Im very happy with it hey apart from the bike mount, maybe its just me but it doesn't seem to keep the camera still even tho  the fasteners are as tight as possible. I also have battled to put the helmet mount on.

Apart from those 2 things I think its very good value for money. O the Battery life is only 1hr 30 so it makes you just ride quicker.

Just remember you pay for what you get so yes the quality/battery life isn't as good as the go pro but it does the job.

Good quality for the price. Bicycle mount a bit of a let down. Bracket snapped on 1st time use @ bump in road. Had it one day, now Makro can't have it replaced. Wear & tear, although there was not much wear from taking it out of the packageing to use. Yet to find a supplier. Busy searching the web.

I see it only has a battery life of 30 Minutes.

Yip , thats the thing that has stopped me from getting one. I dont know how long the more expensive camera's (GoPro, Virb, Sony, Ion) batteries last though

I am a bit tempted (I shouldn't because I already have a GoPro HD1), but it's strange that some internet sources say it has 1.3 Megapixel sensor and others say 5 Megapixel.

Anyone bought one who can what it says on the pack?

Any other feedback battery life?

I have the GoPro 3 Black Edition and I am lucky if I get 30 min of recording time.

Been like that since new.
