She is one of the most talented female track cyclists we have in South Africa. A while ago I chatted to Maroesjka at a event I was shooting and during the conversation she told me how beneficial her last visit overseas was and how desperate she is to get back to race against the best in the World and it was sad for me to see how one of our top track cyclists talent is going to waste. If you can remember correctly, Intellibus was her main sponsor and Owen was always able to help out but those days have sailed as the contract came to a end after many many thankful years. Maroesjka has sat down and done her sums and she simply cannot do it by herself. No matter how much she is able to scratch together she needs more help. In order for her to qualify for World Champs she has to take part in a minimum of 3 World cups. hayleyearth Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 You guys need a different travel agent. if she is staying with friends 1-2weeks in EU does not cost you R30k....unless you go eat out every night etc etc So how long is "one trip"? [of which she has to do 3 at least..]

[of which she has to do 3 at least..]I think the estimate may be fair if you consider preparation before hand, the travel, event itself and living during all of this. Check out her website and you will see what sponsors she is looking for. Everything from kit, equipment, coach etc. It makes sense as this sport at her level is not by any means cheap. Sad that the government/sports organizations cannot support someone at this level.
