rawbone Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 Isn't the timing starting when you cross the first mat? I used to think so but I know from previous 94.7 road races this isn't the case. I used to hit start on my garmin as I crossed the mats but there'd always be a descrepency (my time being a minute or so less). I was told it's because the whole group get the same start time, that being when the "gun" goes off... Maybe someone else can confirm?

Jan Albert Holtzhausen Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 Just want to say I had an awesome time at my first 94.7 MTB challenge. I did the 30km race and what a joy. It was extremely challenging but I enjoyed it thouroughly. Extremely well organised. I especially liked the cold face cloth at the end . Well done to the organisers will definatly do it again next year.
