GO or chunky, please confirm the average time taken. cos if it's gonna be an hour or two then i need to be sure i put my coffee cup erady before i go to bed cos otherwise i'll fall alseep again when i'm meant to be awake  (ps admin, can we please get a popcorn emoticon added to the available emoticons - would make life a lot easier!)

I see I'm gonna eat my own words here, but I'm man enough to admit it! My very first time I gave a drug test, it took almost 6hours!! I was very nervous, and when the tester kept smiling at me, while looking at my _____, it made it even worse!! However, I'm now down to record times! But blood is as quick as the confidence of the tester!!   Test duration really depends on the person being tested. I have many an opinion on how to make it easier, and more comfortable for the rider...but thats another thread!!

Spinnekop Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 I'm with you GO.....my first time took 5 hours........I did not have a pee.......had to take in 3l of Coke/water/juice to get it going....I am shy.....and as GO pointed out.......the guys look at you funny.............so yes.....you can call it stage freight!!!!And then the paperwork starts.......YOU GUYS HAVE NO idea how time consuming this is.......check this number....seal that bottle....pour this into that bottle.......check numbers again....seal in this container.....seal that thing......sign these forms after it has been explained.....Very tedious and I would NOT be happy to do it at night if I had to go ride again early in the morning..........

I was terrified at first...like Spinnekop said!!! And its amazing just how much fluid the body can take!!  But when I finally did "achieve flow" there was no stopping!!!   But now I'm a little better...

slowpoke Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 i guess that i'm lucky cos stage fright is soemthing i got over very quickly back when i was involved with AR... i'm not quite as unreserved as some but certainly not as shy as a lot of people. and if the tester (WW) is happy enough she can draw the blood while i'm peeing! (ok, and i guess girls don't have the issue of wondering how size is being judged! )
