So with all the money you've spend you might as well bought the Epic Elite then???

I'm currently riding a Scott Spark 910 so please do understand from where I come from. I've been riding Scott for the last 4 years...so thats why zi need some help and confince me to change to Specialized.

I rode Specialized for 16 years, I needed no help to change to Ritchey .

I was in your position a couple a months ago. I had a Cannondale Flash and decided to get myself a dual-suspension before this years Berg & Bush. No way I was riding that race on a hardtail again.

I looked at the Carbon Comp & Elite and decided on the Elite. (would have loved the Marathon... but too expensive, could not afford it)

The Carbon Comp sells for about 48k and the Elite for 56K... I think the better wheel-set and fork is worth the extra 8K.

Maybe have a look at the Camber range as well, awesome bikes and like MuddyMike said no worries about pricey brain services :-)

Thanks for all the excellent response guys! I really appreciate it.

I will be picking up a demo Epic Comp Carbon and test it for a day or 2....will keep you posted! Unfortunately they don't have the Elite to demo, but at least I can get the feel of the geometry.

May I suggest to take it for a spin at Jonkershoek (most type of terrain there) and go for coffee at Ride Inn.

They make a lekker bacon, scramble egg on a bagel breakfast.....

What a awesome bike! Can only imagine how the Elite Carbon must ride!

What difference will you feel with the Elite?

Is that not the real question of this thread.

Better snappy accelleration due to the wheels and the brain fork will be a little harsher but more effecient......but as I said before buy a camber skip the brain and save about 8K......

That test bike is a 2014 model. Some slight changes to the 2015 but if you buy a 2014 make sure it's at least R5k less than the 2015. I've seen a few stores selling the 2014 Comp Carbons for a ball hair over R40k.
