I see in the booklet it looks like the routes will not be going through Dunkeld Estate (just before the finish area) again... Does anyone know if this is true? Would be great if it isn't, because that's the area that caused a lot of bottlenecks last year...

The seeding for Rooiberg was only available on the Thursday before the race.

Weather looking ok 8-20 on the Saturday. With a chance of rain on Friday which could be great for the trails. Hoping the altitude doesnt kill me. My enthusiasm for this race increased a few notches last week when I secured a W2W entry.

Nope I have entered...now to see why Im not on the ladies A batching for the Marathon. (besides the fact that I'm now super slow and going to take about 6 hours to do this)

Anyone have perspective on a dry Sabie vs. a dry Dullstroom? Difficulty wise?

Looks like it is going to be a cold morning, 5-7 degrees. I am starting at 7am and my girlfriend only at 7:45. Does anyone have an idea what she can do to keep warm while she waits? Will there be a clothing drop at WP1? She gets cold very quickly, so I need to organise something for her, any help or suggestions PLEASE???

Haha just saw it like everyone else must have. I cant drop back, I am doing the ultra and she the marathon.

Tell her to watch out for a short, overweight, pale, semi comatosed rider with cheap kit and a backpack suitable for a five day trek........unshaven legs, sucking air like an Electrolux while pushing a Momsen.......that wii be me. I will have extra carry space if she wants to get rid of extra kit WHEN it warms up later in the ride......or just kill it from the start.

Anyone know how long it will take to drive there, and if there are any roadworks. From what I can see on the web there are roadworks but no really definitive information. From JHB that is.
