Why? What races are you doing? Do you ride mostly Road? 

 

If you make that change you will have to replace all 3 rings in front. Making only the big one bigger COULD cause shifting problems

 

Maybe you rather need a different bike, suited for the riding you do?

Is your bike still 3(44/32/22T) x 9(11-34) as per spec?

If you maxing out the 44 - 11 then nice! You can get bigger rings for the front.

 

There is some special ratio for the ring sizes to maintain proper shifting. I'm sure someone will be able to comment on that.

 

You might need a new chain depending on how much bigger you go.

you also need to check your front derailleur specification as it will advise what the max size chainring can be used, so you may have to change your FD as well.

 

Also as others have said other rings may also have to change to avoid shifting issues/jumps
