Probably mole snake, if it was black. I've ridden over about 3 of those, around the Tygerberg trails. They normally his and I scream like a girl. Luckily I've never encountered a puffy or cobra... I would soil myself. Bound to happen at some stage.

Lol ja, ja probably a mole if I had to guess. Still makes your heart jump though...

I have ridden over a 1m Natal bush snake and a night adder on another occasion. I have wondered if this would cause the snake any harm. On both occasions I was reluctant to go into the bush to check. I know their bodies are very muscular but am not sure of the effect on the skeletal structure.

Apparently Cape Cobra's come in various shades, from dark to light and the little ones are often mistaken for mole snakes, particularly when they don't have their hood out or have a smaller hood. So becareful out there - don't get to close to those mole snakes either.
