Just a bit of help, nice bike, but try and get a better groupset, looks like sora 8 spd, you will out grow it quickly, and when you want to upgrade, chances of selling the sora is zip.......some useful info, take it or leave it, other than that the actual frame and bike is sweeeet!!!!

Tell us what price you're paying - some other hubbers may suggest a better deal.  See if you can't somehow afford a Shimano 105-based bike.

I reckon Lance would still have won 7 Tour de Frances if his bike was kitted out with 105, but I'm not convinced that Sora would have done the trick.

Nice bikeThumbs%20Up

Not often I agree with SammajoorBig%20smile' date=' but a nice 10spd Campagnolo groupset would really complete the pic[/quote']

Upgrading.......mmmmm......the best part....

Some word of advice....."Upgrading"  is something like food on the budget.  It is there EVERY month and it never stops.

So rather than fighting it, accept it like a man Wink and enjoy it!!!!

This is a good bike to get a roadie noob going and should provide enough mileage to wet your appetite sufficiently to warrant some decent upgrades Thumbs%20Up

My take on some of the equipment supplied as standard (from the pic):

Crankset :- I found the chainrings and BB to wear to the point of replacement very quickly, this is likely to be your first required upgrade.

Brakes :- from looking at these calipers on a friends bike, they are very flexible and if you're anything but a skinny-malinky you should considering upgrading to 105.

Everything else should serve it's intended purpose amicably, so good luck and many trouble free miles with bum on saddle Wink

@ R 4 300.00 i would phone Cajees and Solomons to see what they can offer with a full tiagra groupset.

Last year i purchased an RC3000 with full tiagra gruppo Shimano (yuck) wheel set, with clipless pedals and cleats for R 4 200.00.

BTW - just for the record the bike was for my son (who no longer rides, so it will maybe be sold soon) and it sleeps in the shed far away from the Colnago/campag in my garage.

Well as newbie to road cycling, you will have to do with Shimano, cause if you saw what campagnolo cost i'm sure you would take up chess as a sport.

But with time you will convert to Campag that I know!!! And then you will be a complete cyclistWink
