Scott Speedster 20 vs Merida Scultura 400

I am busy buying a road bike. my 2 options are a Scott Speedster 20 (2015) or a Merida Scultura 400.

Both are 105.

What is the best buy?

Never ridden the Scultura Nico, but the Scott is a nice stiff bike that lets you get up to speed pretty quickly. Your pedal stroke translates nicely into forward momentum.

I don't own one (I've ridden a mates' 20) so I can't confirm that it's an easy bike to live with long term, but I did want to steal the one I rode

Both great bikes in it's class.

I've seen the Merida on the road and I must say it's very eye catchy.

Both bikes are great buys.

I would recommend even consider looking at the Cannondale Evo Super 6.

Lifetime warranty and a great bike.

Very similar in price as well.

The Scott is an aluminium frame..........what is the Merida? The Scultura name used to be exclusive to their carbon models, however, recently they have been using this name on their aluminium bikes too. If the Merida is carbon, then it will win hands down over the Scott.

Have you seen this. Probably only a bit more pricewise than the alum bikes, but yet it it offers so much more.
